Chickadee Jubilee and Force and Motion

I was so excited to hear from another blogger this week regarding her class’s study of force and motion.  A second grade teacher who understands what powerful teaching tools toys can be, Miss Foote of Chickadee Jubilee, wrote to me about her use of my force and motion unit.  Her class tried out my Mouse Trap exploration with great success!  I was thrilled to read all about their awesome science work.  Go and check out her blog to read all about it, and keep reading on for more great teaching ideas from her classroom.  Thanks Miss Foote for the fantastic review!

We are having a blast with this unit! Today we measured speed and distance with objects down a ramp.

Last year, we all brought in our favorite toy and wrote toy reviews….total student “buy-in” to the activity.

Awesome! It is so much fun. It is one of our last units, but I am already working on new ideas. I want to try a hovercraft this year. :)
